Job Description: We are looking for a supervisor for our Electronics & Instrumentation shop. The main responsibility will be to manage the design, development and implementation of new measurement tools, sensors and equipment at the companys labs and pilot plants or on mill sites. This position will also involve supervising technicians working on DCS and software programming as well as assembling, commissioning and maintaining electric and electronic components of new and existing systems. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the electronics and Instrumentation shops: Provide technical support to the research activities in designing, assembling and commissioning tools, technologies and pilot plants (electronics & instrumentation part); Implement and commission technologies on mill sites; Design systems using various controllers like PLCs, Micro Controllers and other data loggers on the market; Programming using various computers languages like C, Labview and Ladder Logic depending on the application; Maintain and upgrade existing tools, equipment and pilot plants; Work closely with the other internal services like Machine Shops, Plumber and Electrician when it comes to building pilot plants or major equipment. Qualifications: DEC in Electronic or bachelors degree in Electrical or Software engineering; Minimum 10 years of experience in Electric/Electronics/Instrumentation disciplines; Knowledge of Autocad Electrical, Labview software and PLC programming is essential; Leadership skills to manage and supervise technicians on a regular basis; Good communication skills, both written and oral and in both official languages; Strong customer focus Demonstrated problem solving skills; Flexible and adaptable to work within multidisciplinary team.

Package Engineer - Balance of Plant

Job Description: The company is currently seeking a Package Engineer - Balance of Plant who will be w orking within the MFG Project Delivery Team, and with accountability residing with the Package Leader Balance of Plant, Muskrat Falls Generation, the Package Engineer is responsible to work in support of the Package Leader to ensure overall delivery, including scope, cost and schedule management, of the Muskrat Falls Balance of Plant scope. Responsibilities: Responsible to Package Leader Balance of Plant to support overall delivery of allocated packages) in accordance with the approved budget. Work closely with Project Services/Planners, Engineering Manager(s), Companys Technical and Design Integrity group, Construction &Completions Managers, Quality Assurance, and other functional expertise during the design, procurement and construction phases of the Project. Work with Contract Administrator to ensure obligations of both Company and Contractor are adhered to. Work with Project Controls to ensure effective cost and schedule control for packages(s). Oversee Supplier/Contractor preparation of Design Documentation; in addition perform review and coordinate comment response sheets Establish Deliverable Distribution Matrix based on Supplier Document Registers. Monitor project deliverables and milestones and ensure compliance with project schedule. Ensure all package interfaces are clearly identified and scheduled with responsibility allocated; liaise with LCP and Contractor Interface coordinators to ensure interfaces are progressed in a timely manner. Highlight and monitor critical items in cooperation with other team members. Organize and lead meetings related to delivery of package(s), working to resolve issues that could impact overall delivery. Regularly visit critical item work locations for surveillance of suppliers/ sub-suppliers and their third-party inspectors. Attend FATs as required. Interface with Project Completions and Handover representatives) to ensure constructability and operability design requirements are stewarded. Work with the contractor to ensure that the installed facilities. Meet all Design, Safety, Quality, Schedule, Construction and Regulatory Requirements. Meet Project goals for Safety, Operability, Reliability and Environmental Performance. Assist with Implementing an Engineering and Completions Surveillance Plan. Work with Quality group to assign appropriate Critically level. Support development of a Project Documentation Turnover Plan with Suppliers/ Contractors. Coordinate Company response to vendor/ site queries in a timely manner to avoid schedule impact. Support all internal reporting requirements including input into PMT Weekly and Monthly Reports. Provide site specific inspection reports during surveillance activities at vendor fabrication facilities/ sites etc. Requirements: Graduation from a recognized University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 3 - 7 years successful experience, in technical as well as project management and construction roles. Prior experience interfacing with and managing delivery of large scopes in a large project execution environment. Background in electrical-mechanical systems, with experience in piping and electrical switchgear and controls. Strong understanding of project management processes and management systems. Strong background in resolution of technical/ management issues during projects execution phase.
