Essential Duties: Mechanical Design of components and assemblies including cast, weldments, and sheet metal components. Provides direction to designers including material selection, design concepts and approaches. Conducts / leads Design analysis including; stack up tolerance, FEA, DFMEA. Plans and implements design validation / verification testing through the R&D lab. Evaluates and approves design changes including the review of drawings before release to production. Review, implement and improve Design standards and approaches. Provides support to other departments in the implementation of designs. Knowledge & Skills: Strong engineering and design skills including design conceptualization, three dimensional modeling, Drawings, prototype evaluation, scientific testing, and report writing. Solidworks, CAD experience required. Self-starter requiring minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks. Able to perform in a team environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to adapt to customer, organizational, business and external influences with integrity, immediate consideration and action to meet business objectives. Demonstrate sound problem solving skills using engineering practices and able to make decisions. Ability to take a project form inception to production. Work Environment: This position is fast paced and requires employee to spend time in an office setting, in the engineering lab and on the shop floor. There will be times when this position will work with unionized hourly employees. This position will interact with internal contacts in Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Quality, Finance, and Upper Management. This person will have external contacts with vendors and customers. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, SolidWorks software packages. Salary: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year.

Duties will entail working as or under a project manager to oversee construction projects ranging from water systems, sewer transportation and treatment systems, drainage, roadway and traffic as well as site and subdivision design. Pay is commensurate with experience starting at $50,000 for entry level. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors and maintenance. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process outputs meet requirements. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. Qualifications and Requirements : College diploma or University Degree in Engineering. 5 years working experience as a Process or Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer. Possess high degree of mechanical aptitude and be very familiar with manufacturing methods and procedures. Must be skilled at presenting technical information. Must possess design skills in Autocad and or Solid Works. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing. Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year.
